It is day 869 since the Chibok Girls were abducted by terrorist group, Boko Haram.
In continuation of its determination to fight for the release of the girls, the BringBackOurGirls campaign group today embarked on a silent march but were stopped by security men from entering the Villa in Abuja, forcing the parents of the abducted girls to sit on the bare floor.
Oby Ezekwesili who led the group could be seen sitting on the floor as police men formed a barricade to prevent them from entering the Villa. The group later marched along the streets in Abuja protesting the government's lacklustre attitude.
The group is demanding that the government do something urgent to rescue the abducted girls.
"We are at the Entrance to the Villa, met the usual brickwall, we are not relenting." one of those marching tweeted.
"Imagine calling for help and no one can hear you, imagine what it means to be silent, imagine when no one can hear you cry." Ms Maureen Kabrik tweeted.
"If your sister or loved one were to be abducted, would you stay silent?" she added.
